  • What is Edstruct?

    Edstruct is an online learning platform that features educational literacy content learners can access independently and use to acquire essential skills. Currently, our focus is on providing digital literacy training; however, we are working on adding courses and other resources specific to mental health, financial literacy, media literacy, health literacy, core skills, and civic literacy.

  • Who is Edstruct for?

    Edstruct, and its course material, is for anyone with basic reading skills who wants to learn the fundamentals of using digital technologies. The courses are at a reading level like that of most newspapers around the world. Learners who complete the courses will understand basic computing concepts and skills. Edstruct is designed primarily for adults 18 and older.

  • What are the system requirements to use Edstruct?

    To get the most from Edstruct, you must have an up to date web browser (i.e., Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, or Opera) and a good internet connection (500+ Kbps speed). At this time, Edstruct content is only accessible with an Internet connection.

  • Can English language learners (ELL) use Edstruct? What English level is necessary to learn with Edstruct?

    Absolutely. Edstruct course content and assessments were designed with English language learners in mind. A mid-level English reading comprehension ability is needed to use Edstruct.

  • Is Edstruct available in other languages?

    We are not yet able to provide Edstruct course content and assessments in languages other than English. We are exploring funding opportunities that will allow us to provide this in the future.

  • How long does it take to finish an Edstruct course and what's included?

    On average, it takes between 45-90 minutes to finish a course, although this can vary widely, depending on the experience and ability of the learner. Each course includes explanations, demonstration videos, assessments, and a certificate of completion.

  • How is Edstruct's course content licensed?

    Except as otherwise noted, the Google-specific course content on this site is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). All other course content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-SA 3.0).

  • How do I access my certificate for Edstruct courses I complete?

    A certificate is issued as soon as all lessons within a course are completed. The student will need to make sure to click "Complete & continue" on every lesson to reach 100% completion. After that, the student can simply click "Get your certificate" to download their certificate as a PDF.

  • What should I do if I need help understanding or using the course material, or have general questions?
